Zildjian is an American cymbal manufacturer based in Massachusetts. The company was founded in Constantinople in the 17th century, during the reign of the Ottoman Empire. Zildjian is nearly 400 years old, and thus is one of the oldest companies in the world. Around 1928, Avedis III, began manufacturing cymbals in Quincy, Massachusetts, and the Avedis Zildjian Co. was formed.
