A patent print poster of a Can Opener invented by Harry Asbury. The patent was issued by the United States Patent Office on February 8, 1927. Although preservation of food using tin cans had been practiced since at least 1772 in the Netherlands, the first can openers were not patented until 1855 in England and 1858 in the United States. In England they are called tin openers.
Patent prints allow you to have a piece of history in your home, office, man cave, geek den or anywhere you wish to add an interesting touch.
