A patent print poster of a Stenographic Printing Machine invented by George Kerr Anderson. The patent was issued by the United States Patent Office on July 28, 1885. This is an early model of the machines Court Reporters (aka stenographers) use in court or other legal proceedings to write down what is being said in a special shorthand. They are also known as stenotype, stenotype machine, shorthand machine or steno writer.
